character name: Luciela
Fandom: Claymore
Timeline: post-death
character's age: Early 20's by appearance, but much older. (50+)
powers, skills, pets and equipment:
Luciela is one of the Abyssal Ones, a former No. 1 ranked Claymore that Awakened. In her human form, she looks like little more than a young woman. But she still has all the advantages of a Claymore and then some. She's superhuman in terms of speed, strength, and resilience. She can sense the yoki of other warriors from her world. She can also manifest a couple of large tentacle "tails" while in this form. While Luciela doesn't need too much of the basic human necessities (food, water, sleep), she does dine on human guts.
In her Awakened Form, Luciela appears as a giant humanoid cat, with a cat's back legs and a felinesque head. Most cats don't have two mouths though - or the ability to sprout them anywhere on their bodies. Between the giant muscular tails, claws and fangs, and mouths that can gobble up projectiles, Luciela is at her most dangerous in this form. However it requires a lot of yoki, and she can't maintain it forever.
She will be getting a pet upon her arrival.
canon history: Under Biography.
personality:
By all appearances, one would expect Luciela to be quite the lady, all long ponytails and ruffles and genteel smiles. A coy smile is her default mask. But all of this masks a literal monster. But she'll try to be polite when she insults or attacks you, and she's quite capable of either one. Be it a battle of wits or simply a battle, she's got the tools she needs.
Like the other Abyssals, Luciela is territorial over what's hers. But unlike them she's a little more solitary. There is no Dauf or Rigaldo equivalent for her. The only exception she might make is for her younger sister Rafaela, whom she still loves. But she also views her as something of a means to an end as well, wanting her to Awaken so that the two of them can defeat Isley together.
Luciela appears calm under pressure, but even this mask can break when she's pushed too far. She isn't one to be trusted. She will go back on her word, cheat or retreat, but she won't bite her tongue. However, she might bite yours, no matter how bad it tastes.
why do you feel this character would be appropriate to the setting?
Claymore is about young women who can kill monsters. Luciela has become a monster. She's not invulnerable (she does die, after all), but she can handle herself better than most through wits and sheer power.
